i know. im late.
Tomorrow is February 1st, not the first day of the year.
However I've been taking some time to think lately and realized that I'm usually late to come to realizations, finally "get" something, or at least make things happen. I just like to think;
"hey, at least I get there".
There's something special about realizing the time it takes to create, achieve, accomplish. This week I finished reading through the entire Old Testament of the Bible (ESV). Took me over a year. My original goal was to read through the entire Bible in the year, but, as you can see, I'm usually a bit slower than most others. At least I stuck with it and my New goal is to read through the entire New Testament in the next four months. (Starting tomorrow and finishing in May.) There's a couple reasons I am really motivated to do this, and will be posting updates about why I am and why this is o important to me right now.
But for now, just want to kick this off (really starting it tomorrow). And i know a lot of people say they'll start it tomorrow but no, seriously, I'm starting tomorrow. ( I really am.)
Also in order to stay motivated to log the things I have been thinking, creating, journaling, noticing etc. I'm setting another goal of posting on here once a day. (again, might not seem big, but this is a big goal for me.)
I'm excited to see how my thoughts and writings progress during these next 4 months. I hope you are too.
For now, I'll thank you for your time and leave you with something extremely visually stimulating, and artists rendering of Jesus *(white Jesus) and His disciples as a graffiti crew.
Hope you find this interesting, funny, cool, etc. (hopefully not offensive.) - at the very least, i think it's safe to say that If you really examine the person and work of Jesus' life you will find the things He said and did were EXTREMELY controversial, during that time period and even still today. (especially among the Religious teachers of the law..)
